Fuel Industries Issues POV on Time Traveler in Charlie Chaplin Film

Ottawa, Canada Oct. 29 - Fuel Industries, the Ottawa-based Playgency and Branded Entertainment Studio, is issuing a point-of-view on the viral controversy emerging around a mysterious “woman on a cell phone” discovered in 1928 Charlie Chaplin archive footage by the Irish film maker George Clarke. “Without the original video, it’s difficult to tell if this has been doctored. A more technical analysis is needed, but from a cursory examination it appears to be genuine. If we did have the original, I would look for small details like motion blur, consistency of shadows, and things of that nature. It’s entirely possible, however, that the video was shot recently, and simply placed onto the DVD,” said Jim Manduca, Head of Video Production, Fuel Industries.

Assuming that this is real, Fuel Industries believes that it is unlikely that the object is a hearing device, as some have suggested, as her pattern of behavior is inconsistent with the use of such a technology.

On Future Potential for Branded Experiences

“Our working theory is that if this woman was/will be able to travel through time, she has a handset that can communicate through time as well. Most likely using some form of Quantum Entanglement to instantly communicate with her service provider, at a continuous rate of time from the point at which she left. This provides incredible potential for branded applications.” said Sean MacPhedran, Director, Creative Strategy, Fuel Industries.

Fuel Industries has begun prototyping advanced content for the new Quantum Entanglement Handset, which is expected to be available mid-way into this century, providing a host of new features for interactive entertainment and exciting consumer experiences. Initial concepts include a “Hide and Seek in Time” game that is enhanced with mobile clues, and a “Prank Call Your Future Self” application.
