CLIENT: WRIGLEY'S CANDYSTAND | RELEASED: OCT 2006
CHALLENGE
Hot on the heels of the runaway success of GT Racing, Wrigley challenged Fuel Industries to develop another game to act as a major draw for Candystand, their online gaming portal. They asked that the game be in 3D after the overwhelming positive response to the style of GT Racing. For this project, Wrigley wanted to highlight their Life Savers brand front and center, so the game would have be fun, flashy, and have a little attitude.

STRATEGY
With all the mini-putt games on the web, we couldn’t find one with that certain element that makes going to a real course so much fun. We had been waiting for the right client to pitch the wildest mini-putt game on the market when Wrigley’s came to us with Life Savers. It would be an easy fit incorporating the fruit candy’s adventurous, colourful branding into our vision of a unique, console-quality mini-putt game.

CREATIVE & EXECUTION
The Life Savers brand is completely integrated into Mini-putt Adventure. Each of the 18 holes draws inspiration from a particular Life Savers flavour. Stylistically, the environments are bright and busy. The entire course is filled with oversized fruit, flashing candy and bumpers that spew fruit juice like a geyser.

Customizable characters and multiple viewing angles let users customize their experience. The standard mini-putt elements are present – windmill, freaky clown - plus some fantastic elements such as an ice-rink, ramps, and twenty foot drops to enhance play experience.
Adding to the carnival atmosphere, we included 4 exciting mini-games to the site: plinko, launcher, long drive, and pinball, to prolong immersion time and provide something extra to help pass-along.

RESULTS
Players agree that Life Savers Mini Putt Adventure offers more than any other mini-putt game on the web in terms of graphics, play environment, and game extras. The game quickly rose to one of the most popular game on Candystand, played by hundreds of thousands of users in its first month.
