The Weekly Link Dump

The Weekly Link Dump

Nick Iannitti

Hi readers. Won’t you take a few minutes today to see what things we found interesting, cool, or funny over the last week?

-While we enthusiastically promote interactive reaching into new territories, the world of the personal urination aid is one corner of the universe we have yet to venture into.  Meet the “You’re In Control” (get the play on words?)

-Most tech blog readers will already know that, back in February, Microsoft Research made Robert Scoble cry.  Well,  the WorldWide Telescope that elicited such a response is now, as of two days ago, available for public use.  While I haven’t cried yet, I have, admittedly, only touched the most outer limits of the void.  Featuring a fully mapped, zoomable representation  of the sky, using actual images from the Hubble Telescope and ilk, it is essentially a Google Maps (with satellite) of the observable universe, and absolutely worth your time to check out: http://www.worldwidetelescope.org/

-With the amount of presentations we do, and the pround amount of geeks here, it’s surprising that we didn’t buy this–yet…

-I’ll leave you with an eye-opening video, that some might deem NSFW.
