Introductions: a necessary evil
As I’m on a new face - both in the Fuel Industries environment, and now on the blog, I have but no choice but to properly introduce myself. I’m Stacey Mulcahy, and if I had to pick a respectable title, it would be that of a Flash Developer. I tend to say I’m a Flasher, but I soon discovered that there are two people in my life who are not a fan of that term - my mom, and the unavoidable Customs Officer. I’m the lastest addition to the talented Flash development team here at Fuel.
In the Flash community, I’m affectionately known as the BitchWhoCodes and am best known for my flash/flex centric blog where I tend to rant more than rave. I’ve been active in the Flash community for quite awhile - having taken on a variety of roles including that of a Flash Instructor at Algonquin College in Ottawa and as a technical editor for several Flash/Flex based O’Reilly publications. This past April, I was honored to be invited to speak at FITC and gave a session on AS2 to AS3 migration.
I’m looking forward to sharing some ideas, observations and inspiration here on the blog.
