Calling all bands
Not that I imagine many indie bands read the Fuel Industries blog, but if there are any out there in interweb-land happen to be both enrolled in a Canadian college or university and in a band, this post is for you.
For one of our upcoming game projects for Mazda Canada, we’re reaching out to Canadian bands to provide the soundtrack. Since the campaign is to promote Mazda’s graduate program, we’re looking specifically for university and college bands.
The public will vote to narrow down the selection to the 25 best. From there, the top five tracks, as judged by our best music snobs, will be featured in a game launching in late February. The number one track will receive a $2000 recording package, and the four runners up will receive $200 worth of music from the iTunes Store.
So, if you know anyone who qualifies, feel free to spread the word, and point your favourite bands to http://www.mazdarockinrollcall.ca to upload their tracks and vote for the best. Celine Dion cover bands need not apply.

No problem at all. Word is spreading as we speak. Always willing to help a fellow PR colleague out.
